Court orders CCK’s DG Njoroge out of office

A high court judge has ordered Communication Commission of Kenya director general Mr Charles Njoroge to vacate office.

This follows a move by the Consumer Federation of Kenya (Cofek) seeking orders from it to quash Information and Communications Minister’s appointment of Mr Njoroge. READ THE COFEK STATMENT HERE

The decision by the court now sets a center stage for another epic battle that started within CCK boards on the renewal of Mr Njoroges appointment.

The board had recommended a termination of his services which the minister dismissed and appointed him for another three year term. A parliamentary committee too was in favour of his re appointment citing his robust tenure at the commission
