Multichoice Kenya is set to launch a new pay tv company to comply with the Digital Terrestrial TV Broadcasting.

The company to be called GOTv will offer two bouquets to subscribers; GoTvplus with 32 channels and GoTv with 26 channels.

The channels are however similar to what they offer currently but wl only feature Sports Select for sports lovers. However Kiss TV will be part of the local free to air channels.

Already our sources indicate that Multichoice Kenya is training sales agents ahead of a planned market roll out.

Part of the features GoTv boasts of is a do it yourself decoder, meaning subscribers can install it without the technical assistance of its officers. It will also not require a satellite dish to receive signals as this would be digital.

We are also told that it will retail cheaper than the current decoders, while the bouquet pricing is yet to be finalised.

Already GoTv has been launched in Zambia and Uganda.
